AstraX has been a hobby project for a while, slowly growing out of its early prototype stage. A playable demo is now ready for you to enjoy!
This game is primarily inspired by Kerbal Space Program's research mechanics, but without the effort and time investment. But also games like Freelancer, Space Engineers or Galactic Civilization are sources of inspiration.
Exploration and Research are the core mechanics of AstraX, which might get extended by Base Construction and Trade. The game is meant to be casual and relaxing, so there is no space combat.
Features so far:
- Fog of War: Go in blind into the cosmos and explore procedurally generated systems consisting of moons, planets, gas giants, stars, asteroids.
- Powerful and highly customizable Proc Generator
- Basic mod support (so far untested)
- Content is inspired by actual scientific discoveries
